Everything about Patricia Hodgson totally explained

Dame Patricia Hodgson, DBE has been the Principal of Newnham College, Cambridge, since August 2006. She is a member of the Higher Education Funding Council for England and the Committee on Standards in Public Life, as well as a non-executive director of the Competition Commission. Having failed to secure support for her bid to become BBC Chairman, she was appointed as a Trustee of the BBC Trust in October 2006. Generally referred to as "Patsy", she's known as a highly political operator and a skilled strategist. As a BBC Trustee she's quickly gained a reputation for demanding more serious output from the Executive Board.
From 2004 to 2006 she was Chair of the Higher Education Regulation Review Group. Until the end of 2003 she was Chief Executive of the Independent Television Commission and, before that, a main board director of the BBC. She also served for six years as a member of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
